At the beginning of October, the MICHELIN Guide awarded its brand-new distinctions to the most outstanding hotels of 2024.

More than 5,000 hotels around the world were carefully evaluated, and only the crème de la crème ultimately received the prestigious honour of one, two, or three MICHELIN Keys. Each of these hotels was assessed across five categories and found to be excellent in all of them:

Architecture and Interior Design
Quality and consistency of service
Personality and character
Price-performance ratio
Significant contribution to the guest experience in a particular environment

DAS EDELWEISS impressed in this evaluation and was awarded a total of two MICHELIN Keys, making it one of just 17 hotels in all of Austria to receive this recognition! You can find more information about the award here.

Culinary delights at the highest level

Our guests are treated to culinary excellence at the EDELWEISS Mountain Cuisine. We place great value on the use of regional products and guests can choose between a regional, vegan and international menu in the evening. Gourmet lovers will also be delighted by our Steak restaurant Sirloin Grill & Dine and the Sakura Asian cuisine concept. In addition, our in-house sushi bar prepares fresh, exquisite sushi creations every day. Wine lovers will enjoy the “Kork & Gloria“, complete with an adjoining wine archive.

Would you like to make your holiday a little more active? Großarltal offers a true paradise in both winter and summer. Surrounded by breathtaking mountains, our guests enjoy direct access to the stunning alpine landscape. As the perfect base for outdoor activities, we provide an exceptional experience throughout the year. In winter, our Ski In – Ski Out hotel offers its own ski rental and heated ski depot, with direct access to the slopes. In summer, embracing the motto Hike In – Hike Out, countless picturesque hiking trails lead to 40 charming alpine huts, inviting guests to indulge in nature and regional delicacies.
